JournalServer.org ties up with Oxford University's Saïd Business School
(July 2003)JournalServer.org entered into a MoU with the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford, one of Europe's fastest-growing and most prestigious management schools. According to this tie-up, four MBA students will spend two months in the summer of 2003 acting as consultants to JournalServer.org. According to the School, "The consulting project enables students to expand their learning by working in a consulting style whilst tackling a live business issue." The four consultants - Mr. Neal Chazin, Mr. Michalis Kiourktsoglou, Ms. Elizabeth Shine, and Mr. Lance Wobus - also won a competitive grant from the Oxford Business Alumni MBA Community Fund to sponsor their stint.
New African mirror set up in the University of Cape Town
(June 2003)The University of Cape Town (UCT) has agreed to join the growing network of JournalServer.org's mirror sites in leading universities around the world. The tie-up was made possible due to the efforts of Rhodes scholar and UCT alumnus Mr. Stanton Smith, and the Dean of Engineering at UCT Prof. Cyril O' Connor. The mirror site will be administered by Mr. Bill Randall and Mr. Warwick Duncan at the University of Cape Town and will be available at http://journalserver.uct.ac.za
